The frame rate is how many frames per second (fps) are shown in a video and isone of the factors that affect video quality. Video images never really move, each frame of video is shown as a still for a very short period and then replaced wth the next frame. The common frame rate for film is 24 fps, whic in he early days was determined to be fast enough to be indiscernable, although some people may see flicker. Traditional television faremrates are typically 30fps in the US and 25fps in Europe as this fitted with the electrical system frequencies (60Hz in USA, 50Hz in Europe). Any {[real tme}} {[video processing}} needs to be able to process each frame within the frame rate.
